Florence, AL – The Florence Housing Authority is thrilled to announce the launch of the Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) 2026 Kids’ Art Contest! We’re inviting all young artists across Alabama to unleash their creativity and imagine the place they would love to call home.
This year’s theme, “Draw Your Dream Home,” encourages children to design and draw their ideal living space. Whether it’s a majestic castle, a cozy cabin, a futuristic space-inspired home, or a whimsical treehouse, we want to see their wildest imaginations come to life! Kids can use any art supplies they like—crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint—to bring their visions to paper.
🎨 Who Can Enter:
Children ages 5–12 who live in Alabama.

🌈 What We’re Looking For:
Creative, colorful artwork that showcases your child’s unique dream home. Think like a real home builder and dream big!
🌟 Bud’s Bonus Outside Challenge:
Every great home has something special outside! We’re also challenging young artists to add a fun outdoor feature to their drawing. Imagine a dinosaur-shaped swimming pool, a secret garden, or even a rocket launch pad! The wilder the idea, the better—there’s no right or wrong design, just show us what makes your dream home special.
