5 Year Plan - Now Receiving Public Comments
Florence Housing Authority (FHA) will be receiving public comments for the proposed 5 Year- Plan 2025-2029, Annual Plan 2025, and HCV Admin Plan. FHA will accept comments through September 10, 2024. All comments are to be emailed to [email protected] or mailed/hand delivered to the following address: 110 S. Cypress St. Ste 1, Florence, AL 35630. A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 9:00 am at the address above.

Lauderdale County Landlords:
We Need Your Help!
Florence Housing Authority is currently seeking landlords to partner with to facilitate housing for eligible HCV (Section 8) applicants. Increasing our database of available properties will enable participants to more quickly move into a Lauderdale County home of their choice!
Benefits to the landlords include:
- On-time direct deposit of rental payments
- Applicant background checks
- Annual inspections to ensure that both the landlord and the resident maintain clean and safe living conditions

It Pays to Be a Landlord with FHA
What is HVC
HCV is a government initiative that assists in improving the affordability of housing. Landlords that participate in this program are guaranteed scheduled rent payments deposited into their account by the federal government.
